I picked up this gorgeous looking 12" pleco 13 days ago. I dont have a proper home for him until I build a stand for my 125g sometime in the early spring. Right now he's living in a 30g tank (prepares for the flaming):flamed:
:banhim:

The water parameters are perfect, temp is 78F, the tank has appropriate filtration, im pumping plenty of air into the tank and I leave the light off most of the day (he gets natural light that enters the window for 5-6 hours a day, the light never shines directly on the tank). I've tried feeding him lettuce, broccoli, cucumber, peas, and algae wafers. He wont eat anything.

So its been about 13 days without food. I figured by now the survival instinct (eat or die) would kick in but it hasn't. There doesn't seem to be anything wrong with him visually. He looks in good health and swims around often, despite the inadequate tank size.

Whats the next step other then get my arse moving on building that 125g tank stand?:screwy:

you know he might just be eating algae i had a 8in one and i never fed him he just kept eating the algae
