From my experieces, your new edition will definately most of his hours hiding, but will eventually become very active.

I had a 7"er that I only saw 2-3 times in the first 6 months.

thanks! yea my friend who gave it to me said hasnt once seen him eat in his life... haha I actually got two of them the second one is smaller, they been eating alot and look a little brighter.

I had one once. It was cool. I got it for $4.99 cuz it hid so well that they forgot what they were selling it for when they had a lot of them 4 months ago. So they gave it to me for a regular pleco price.
