I have just got back from my lfs with a new pleco.

It was labelled as a "long fin ancistrus". I have no idea what it is but im sure its not an ancistrus.

It looked kinda cool so I coughed up £12 for it.

Does anyone know what it is? Or have any info on it?

Thanks

That looks like an L273-titanicus pleco. Or it could be an L-25. Get more if you can these pseudas are rare in the hobby now.

OMG OMG OMG...

THAT IS NO L-25 .. OR long fin ancistrus
THATS A L-24!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

THAT IS A STEAL!!!!! Your got yourself a super rare fish friend.. take super good care of him.. its banned from export. thing thing eats most meat more than veggies.. a mixture of shrimp and veggies is ideal..

A fish that size is worth about $200-$250 bucks here.. close to 150 pounds..

Thanks for all the help guys.

There was only one in the tank with a load of bristlenose plecos.

It has settled down well and is eating massivore and algae wafers. I will try it with some shrimp later today.

Its colours havent changed from the above pictures so everything points to an L24.

Does anyone know whats its growth rate will be like?
