New Pleco - ID?

This little guy is only ~ 1" TL and shows some interesting markings. He was tucked away in a LFS tank and when I saw the white fringe on his tail I couldn't resist. I traded him for some extra plants....

I've browsed the forums and haven't come across a similar one yet. I don't expect that he's particularly rare or anything, but would like to ID to ensure I'm offering the right conditions diet etc. Any help would be appreciated.

Its an ancistrus of some sort but lacking brisltes, probably a female

Ancistrus would be great, s/he's in with 2 albino bristlenose in a recently planted 75g.

Its a common bristlenose. Way to small to sex.

Yes looks to be a young 'chocolate' bristle nose
