Does anyone think a 10" common pleco can hurt my 6-7" Ocellaris? I figured it would be okay but, one of my friends just said it would hurt them. What do you all think? I picked it up for free today.:naughty:

I have a 11inch one with 5 3inch grow outs. Never an issue, the only thing I have ever seen it go after is the zebra loach that thinks he's the domanant fish in the tank. picks on everyone thats ever been in the tank. lol

I know that seems like a stupid question but I have heard of plecos eating the slime coat off of smaller fish. I was totally certain there was nothing to worry about until my buddy said he's had problems in the past and he's got some pretty sick ]V[onster fish. Anyway....I'm not worried about it.

Its fine dude, ive had 2 smaller monos in with my larger plecos and nothing ever happened. Go for it.

out of all of the plecos that i have.. and i've got at least one in every tank.. i only have one that has ever hurt a fish.. and now he's currently being tormented by fish that are far bigger than he is..

turn about is fair play, is it not?

you should be good

The only Plecos that might...MIGHT do any harm are the Panque sp.

Right on. I swear I knew it would be okay and my buddy planted seeds of doubt in my head. :screwy: I know I sound like a newb but I had to hear it from MFK. Anyway, I know I'm good. He's already chilled out and my bass are front and center waiting for thier next meal. Case closed. Thanks guys.:grinno:
