After two weeks of quarantine I moved my recently purchased juvenile Pseudacanthicus Sp. L097 to one of my small main tanks this morning. I took a few not so great photos while it’s settling in. Will post more photos when it adjusts to its new surroundings.

Such a beautiful species, I find myself attracted to the cactus plecos a lot, there’s just something about them.

Thanks all, I appreciate the support. A quick update. Last Monday I added my new L097 to one of my tanks after two weeks of quarantining. It has since settled down and made itself at home. I’ve seen it eat frozen bloodworms, and spirulina brine shrimp. But has not accepted sinking pellets yet (only tried them twice so far). This species loves to hide but will eagerly come out for food while the lights are on. I’ll continue to update with posts and pics.

It’s been a few months since updating, but I’ve had this species for four months and all is well. Overall condition is good. Eating pellets for a couple months now with no problem after originally refusing them. Flake and frozen foods are provided regularly as well. Over time he/she has become increasingly more visible with a tendency to relax out in the current, and not always tucked into hideout. Activity level reaches it’s peak during feeding time and now practically anticipates feedings beforehand. I added some plants recently. Anubias is always one of my go to’s. Java fern is the other.
