Hi i just bought a a small polleni its about half an inch i was just wondering about how aggressive they are i have it in my 200gal.

mine is the dominant fish in the tank, but not exactly a terror, just chases others around.

i have him in with more i guess community fish distichodus affinis, silver dollars, grass cutters, red tails chalceus, and some Chinese high fin sharks and others.

it will be more dominant than most of those fish, but it could work unless you have a particularly aggressive specimen

They can be bold but they get pounded on by the more aggresive cichlids.
He should be fine in your tank, he will be the king of that tank, you described. They have a great personality and are beautiful.

he’s only about a half an inch but looks like he has a big mouth should i have to worry about him eating his tank mates in the future when he gets bigger.

I find they are more aggressive with each other than with other fish, especially if the other fish have a different shape and color.

how small are the smallest tankmates? Mine doesn't really pay much attention to smaller cichlids for the most part. Had a small leleupi in there for a time, and it didn't attempt to eat it.

hes the smallest but i don think hed be able to even get any of them down or in his mouth once they all get larger.
