It's my new poly tankmate polypterus sp. Green Terror. So far so good and playing nicey nicey with everyone. :) he's about 12" and the brightest flouresecent fish i've ever owned or seen. I just miss having a personable brute of a cichlid in my tank. Had to get this.

Fin and trails are nice. Like the edges are on fire. Wonder if it's the substrate? Is it wc Vancouver_98683 Vancouver_98683 ?

Thanks everyone for the comment. It's a cichlid with lots of personality. GT likes to fist bump every fish in there. It's a gentle nudge. Lol.

Original owner had it for 2.5" years and purchased it from wet Spot for $24 @ 1.5-2". I vividly remember the list that priced it at $ 24 for wild caught at that small size. I've seen many tank raised GT through the years. Some look amazing and some are bland in colors. While some look like Acaras, lol.

He definitely glows when viewed in person. It's not the substrate. He was glowing in my bucket too and previous owner bad it on natural gravel. Lol

I've found especially with cichild's it's more about food and water quality then anything else....with that said it helps if they are comfortable in the tank too.
Agree. This fish was raised n a 36x15. Quite small and a singular fish most it's life. I'm surprised it's not a meanie.
