My first venture into the Polypterus Family.I can see why these creatures are quite addicting. I can see this going for a while with me getting different species.Had them 48 hours and im in love with them.

me neither, i had mine with my convict and the convict wouldn't leave her alone!:irked:
 
So are Africans out of the question w/ poly's? I have always wanted to get a few but my tanks all have cichlids already in there, maybe an excuse for another tank?

i suggest a seperate tank if the poly's are too small they might get bullied by agressive cichlids and if the poly's are bigger than the cichlids, the cichlids will most likely be eaten..
 
That is an awfully nice convict you have there, BUT I'd have to agree with the no convict comments. Mine were extremely aggressive and took a run at the poor senegals non-stop. Eventually the dominant male con chased a 9" senegal into hiding inside a fake decoration where she had to be hack sawed out! :irked:
