I placed an order with Jeff at aquatic clarity for a wild pair of hemichromis frempongi, I'm pretty excited because this is the first time I've ordered a fish and I've been looking for these for a long time. It might be a couple weeks before I can get them because Jeff is in Wisconsin and I'm in Boston so its pretty cold now haha. I'll be updating with pictures of their new setup too because I'm doing a 3d background and I plan to breed them. Hopefully I can get some f1 fry out to some mfkers.

DSCF0158.JPGI recently aquired a pair of H.Frempongi and to my delight they spawned within a matter of days. As I was uneducated about these bad boys, the emergency tank was inadequate as it had a thick layer of gravel (causing the loss of many fry). Would strongly advice sand or clear bottom for breeding and good luck to all that try ;)

I have a pair of hemichromis elongatus that spawned 2 weeks after being in the tank and have been spawning ever since...always wanted fremonpongis...lucky guy

I am having the opposite problem over here, I have been looking for elongatus at a nice size for months now. I think they would fit in well with the frempongi (after some tiffs im certain) I have put the 3 remaining fry on ebay today so some one else can have a go at keeping some. They are collection only from the UK tho ss.

I only have 2 frempongi's. No luck at pairing yet. These are super rare in the US. I do have a pair of H. Fasciatus that spawn all the time. Probably on my 13th batch. Have about 50 fry out of about 4-500. Female and male are probably close to 11". I am looking for H. Elongatus and Frempongi fry or pairs.
