BTW, this is the most active puffer i have had. Always swimming like this..

LOL!!!! I heard a crunch and saw pieces of glass and beads on the bottom of the tank.
I knew it ate the thermometer at that moment !! No worries.. i still like it.

Sorry to derail, but the T gar eats with a ripping motion... definitely more violent than a spotted !

No Shell... if you feed shell, you will find shell in the filter media.

It chomped the pointed end of a glass thermometer. You can hear the crunch , it was crazy.

Puffer is about 10 inches , nice and thick.
