Hi all,

you know that I'm very skeptical, but there is something going on.

I was told yesterday that the last signature is under the new quotas and today some wildcaught black rays are on aquabid.

Wait and see if they are for real or the next scam.

one of those is mine... and the other i think is a breeder so i still dont think there is...

Hi Andreas, Undoubtedly you have heard the rumors abound in Brazil. Do not be worried, today is supposed to be the magic day but I have yet to see the magic list pop up from my exporters with any rays on the list.

As for Aquabid, also do not worry. Turkeyboys ray is CB and ZebraPlecos is the only one ADVERTISING wild caught rays. Zebraplecos (Imer) is full of ***** and I would bet my money he has 0 rays, only looking for donations from dumbasses like the Peru group was so successful doing. Mike (h20) and I tried to buy his last BS deal.. in the end, absolutely nothing.. here is a link to the "imaginary" wild caught rays for sale by Zebraplecos..

that time of the month again came early this month.... would be nice to see some released but a quota wont changed the price....

Imer, Imer, is'nt that the guy from frankfurt, who imported the tiger rays to germany a few years ago:ROFL:

Yeah Imer is one of a kind, he emailed me this week with a list of amazing black rays for sale but does not have pictures to show. Last time he jerked me around for many months and never supplied any rays. We have also been hearing this rumor and getting contacted by exporters from brazil. Starting prices are over 1000 each for wild caught rays for these guys. And they claim the bidding wars from asia are driving the prices even higher. So much for price dropping if there ever released.

I know I could find this answer through endless searches, but in two sentences or less, why is there a brazil ban?

ibama is :screwy: i think it was alot of populations of different fish were getting small and brazil just shut down...

there been so much said on it i just stopped carring about it.....

i was at interzoo and met the brazillian shipper we went collecting Leo's with and he said dont hold your breath!!!, he goes to all the IBAMA meeting's and they allways say the same thing "quotas will be looked into" , and like load's of people have been saying they are going to go to the highest bidders. I was told BD's are changing hand's in Asia for $10'000 US by a Thai Shipper.
