The Lady running the store said she got it as a Spotted Raphael but it has stripes on its fins and some of the markings are a little more elongated than my small spotted. Megalodorus maybe? Or just an odd spotted?

Yeah he kinda does its just that my smaller spotted has these perfectly round little pinhole spots and this guy has some odd lava lamp shapes going on and in the second pic you can see how striped his tail fin is where my other spotted has (gasp) spots.drgnfrc13;3870029; said:Nice cat. That hadn't occurred to me. He does look a lot like spotted in some areas but the others threw me. At least this way he wont outgrow the tankknifegill;3870246; said:
There are two species of spotted Raphael,ones the slightly smoother version known as Agamyxis pectinifrons and the others the one you have in the bag\net...Acanthodoras spinosissimus...these like you say have a different pattern and appear more spiny...hence the name.....very suckle differences it has to be said.
