astro 238.jpgastro 241.jpgastro 239.jpgastro 240.jpghey all, picked up this little f1 midas today of my local importer, cant wait to see how he turns out:) has a little black and orange on his nose and fins, the guy had four, the other three being plane white, this little dude stuck out so i snapped him up... the missus said he looks like he has a nose lol... anyone care to help with a name?

sorry lol. theres not much difference in most of the 27 amphilophus apart from the obvious few i.e trimac festae ect.... i thought alot of people refered to them as midas, as a barred midas can actually be a chanco, amarillo, flaveolus.... there for i see midas more of a slang! also people who DONT know every specific latin name will know roughly what they're looking at... BUT TO PLEASE NWATSON 'THIS IS NOT STRICTLY DEFINED AS A MIDAS' lol;)

LOL. TO JUSTARN CALL IT WHATEVER YOU WANT LOL. I was trying to post some useful information for members on here, not add to the confusion. You don't need to break down the Amphilophus complex for me. As far as the "slang" LOL. later buddy
 
lol, i googled most of that! Lets call it a 'white' 'black devil' to add more confusion lol...

also after some more googling i guess i have a amphilophus saggittae 'xanthic' or xanthic black devil... guessing xanthic is the non barred form?
 
O quick question, were abouts in the UK are you, i will be stocking a 300 gall soon, and wanted to order some fish, how did you go about this? How much did it cost ect
