New ray! I need Help Id'ing her.

I just went and picked up my new female ray. She was ordered as a Hystrix but it seems to me that she may be something else. I don't have a picture yet but I should have one in the morning. She is a sandy color with black spots all over her. They are not connected spots. Her tail is tiger striped. Any suggestions to what she may be? I will have pics in the morning for a def. ID if possible.

You pretty much described a tiger ray which you would of known by the price difference. With no pick I can only say yepezi type.

Here she is! She is the lighter colored one. Sorry about the lighting I was working with a camera phone. She has dark spots on her disc. Most of them are circular a few are hour glass shaped almost. It seems that there may be little ones concentrated on the edge of the disc. She is very VERY active.

I believe she is a motoro variant by the looks of her tail, BUT I may be wrong.

Probably an orbignyi sp. but hard to tell with the lighting. Looks like it my have eyebrows
