New Ray-iID?

Saw this guy and couldn't pass him up. Labelled as a wild mantilla. He is about 5 inches and eats like a champ, including pellets. Any thoughts on what he is or is mantilla correct

I would say mantilla is correct.

At this point all we can do is call him a Mantilla. Not enough of these brought out of the wild to call it it's own species. Mantilla is used for rays that are similar to yours. So you can call it a mantilla type.

Thanks...I figured it was correct. I just loved the patterns on him, and he is nice and fat and eating everything so I'm definitely happy with him
