Thank you... not the best... i had a plan for a much better one but was limited on materials... far cheaper than anything i was looking at buying though.
 
I'm gonna use your thread as a confidence boost to build my own sump.... then progress from there once I know the sump won't explode at the seams!

The sump is only 12" tall.... 6" of water in it at all time... 10" during water changes or power failure.
Because of my low water levels, i was able to use 6mm extruded acrylic. Cheaper than cell cast, but not as stong... You can get by with extruded if the height doesnt exceed 12"..... anything bigger, use cell cast...
that should save you about 30% or more on cost... good luck!
