Plastic but I poored him from the bag into the foam cooler to acclimate him. The water was really dirty and had an odor when I opened it.

Don't worry about the red belly, it happens to most newly acquired rays. Think its because of them being subjected to various water parameters during shipping n stuff & acclimation in their new home.

Oh glad you joined! None of the pictures do this ray justice. He really is looking better by the minute! I am extremly pleased. Definatly keep in touch as you can be sure I will order again. Just what though? Another ray or megaladorus (spelling?) irwini! hehe
