Got these guys about 3 weeks or a month ago, they're doing quite well but I really have no idea on the species. They came in just listed as 'stingray' and were really cheap, so I had to have them. They eat great on chopped trout worms, blackworms guppies and the occasional ghost shrimp. Any ideas on the species would be great though. the darker of the two actually looks much darker than he shows up in pictures

Actually, the side of the tank where the pictures were taken is the one side with a little mixed grade gravel in it. The rest of the tank is about 3/4" to an inch of fine natural #1 gravel mixed with #0 sand. It seems to work well without sticking to the rays or getting blown around by the filter output. They burrow easily enough and it doesn't seem to be at all abrasive. looks nice too.

look nice, wish I could own some :( :naughty:

I don't think the darker one is P. caqueta (red morph retic)!!

Here are pics of my pair of P. caqueta one day after arriving. You can see the red hues!!

These were brought in wild and were quite thin. They are fattened up now, but no new pics as of yet.

Note the size of the claspers on the male who is around 6" or so!!
