Midas lose the long snout after 4" not 7 or 8. I have never seen a true Midas at 7 or 8" with a pointy snout.

Im sorry i dont have pics, but i bought a 4" midas from rapps about a year ago and it had the snout untill about 6". Now it got the "full fat" face Ill try to ger some pics of him now up but hes at my uncles house untill january. Ill ask him for a pic.

Truth of the matter, RD or Midas, you'll be a happy camper. I've kept both, and they are the most outgoing cichild out there. My RD greets me whenever I walk in the room (and would wiling take my hand off if it mean't food). But like everyone else says, let's see some pics!

No doubt, my rd/midas acts like a panting dog when I go by the tank. My fish looked more rd but is starting to get thicker. Either way, you are going to love that fish. Post some pics soon, we are not patient around here for pics of new fish!!!
