I recently bought a pair of xenopus frogs to see if they would live with my quadricarinatus which they did for three days before being eaten, well this is a new record as i have never had anything live with them that long im going to keep trying as i am sure there must be a tankmate but meanwhile im left buying expensive feeders any suggestions for viable tankmates.

I had a "Blue Yabbie" for years with several tank mates. Plecos, texas cichlids, shark cats, raphael cats, cory's algae eaters, even shrimp.

I think the key is to let it have enough space. Mine was well protected in a 90 gallon tank. That and the fact that he was too large for any of them to eat and too slow to eat any of them.

Feed them well and give a good variety of foods and you'll see the aggression subside.

i bought some convicts today i feed my crays earthworms, prawns, bloodworm, brineshrimp, pellets. I think they might be aggresive because they are male i know some people that have 2 females in a 30 with neons and they never come to any harm.

Males are more aggressive and destructive but females are typically stronger and more powerful.
