hes a faint yellow not that much do you guys think he will get brighter
Congradulations on your new red terror festae. Great looking specimen. He's got a good size to him also.
You asked about his faint yellow color becoming brighter. Well it may be a bit difficult to really tell or not. In the photographs, the water clarity looks a bit cloudy. Not polished. He might be a bit drab looking do to being in a new environment.
During your RTF's feeding regime, you might try and introduce some thawed frozen vegetables, like peas, small pieces of carrot or some blanched zuchinni, sliced into the shape of a coin, and then cut either in half or in quarter sections. These vegatables have betacaratine in them which might enhance his yellow coloring, possibly making it brighter.
I used this method with two Oscars and it worked really good for them. I fed them these vegetables about 3 times a week in their evening meal, along with some frozen brine shrimp, to break up the monotony of just having flake and pellet food all of the time. The results caused the red (Albino) and red-orange (Tiger) markings to become clearer and brighter.
I've never owned a RTF before so it's hard for me to be exacting on this question about making his yellow coloring brighter. But you might try my recommendation with the frozen and blanched veggies and see if it works after about a week or two.
I hope this helps and again, congradulations with your new RTF.
