New red texas cichlid opinions??

Hello, I was at my lfs the other day and noticed they had a tank marked red texas cichlid, I've only really seen them online never in person ( not common where im from) so I decided to pick one up about 2 inches or so. Anyways just curious to what size he'll grow approximitely and what will he end up looking like when older? ( I know theres alot of variety in red texas)

Looks like a solid unfaded, gonna be a stunner if you're into brilliant blue but I don't see any red coming from the fish. But heck its only two inches what do I know

Thanks for the reply, all I can see is abit of red on the gills but not too much lol either way I feel like his real color will only come out at about 5 inches

Hello, just an update on the red texas lol he's about a half inch bigger than when I got him still abit shy but getting better everyday lol he seems to have dug him or hersel a piyt to chill in...

Looks to be first generation unfaded, so don't expect much red from this "red" texas.

hopefully it a male so one day I could try breeding it to a female blood parrot and create some real red babies lol if fertile lol
