While checking Craiglist monday, an ad came up offering two Red Foots for Free and after talking with the owner I had to jump on this deal. Both were bought as Xmas gifts for her son, who was decidedly un-reptile friendly and wanted nothing to do with the poor little guys. She tried to return them, but couldn't so she was giving them away for free. I had to help out LOL.
Other than that I got them in a smaller 45 Gal Tank for now till I can set-up something Larger, I ordered a Tortoise Table for them that should be here next week. I set up a Water Dish in one area, and made a plastic Tub into a hide on the other in and I am using moisten Jungle Bed substrate by Terra for Substrate with a Reptisun 10.0 over top, a small basking light, and a heat pad underneath their hide. I have also been misting them 2-3 times a day.
Never keep Torts before, just Turtles, so pretty excited.
