got a new baby 3 inch red tail cat today and he wont eat. the other redtail i bought before ate withing the first five minutes of having him. does this one just need time to warm up? i put some shrimp pellets in the tank and the sunk to the bottom and landed right next to him and he just backed away like he was scared of them? idk. any help?

It probably just needs to settle down or for all you know he was fed just before he was sent to you
well like everyone has already pointed out, hes probably just adjusting to his new surroundings. Did you acclimatise him properly before you put him in?? Try and give him some time and if he still refuses food, try feeding with the lights off, they are ofcourse nocturnal by nature.
