Nice puffer, Make sure you provide a varied diet with snails or other crunchies to keep his beak(teeth) trimmed.

For sure.. I've got a couple Apple snails in there, which are now dead, and it appears as though the puffer has been biting at them. I'm pretty sure it was interested in a ghost shrimp the other day, but I couldn't stay to watch him actually eat one, and here's a pic of him eating frozen Mysis shrimp from my hand! Personable little fella.. Any other dietary suggestions?

Nice love the DG. As long as the puffer is well feed, had ample space, and DG has plenty of hiding spots you could be fine. What size tank are they in?

75 gallon.. I've got something like an igloo made of stacked Mexican beach pebbles for the DG, which he's found and claimed as homestead. It works out well because once he's in there, none of the other fish can get to him... It'll work for a while, anyway.

I'm not too sure about the figure 8's but i would be very cautious of putting your fingers in the tank during feeding. I hand-feed my gsps and occasionally my fahaka but I always make sure my fingers are well out of the water. If you queston this just hang a piece of thawed shrimp in your tank.
