Okay, after doing a far bit of reading on wetwebmedia.com (That site is my encyclopedia now, man if anyone hasn't been to that site, well.....:nilly: )
and I've composed this list of fish that I want in my 180G:
Fish will be added in the order that I list them, first to last:

- Domino Damsels x3-6
- Pair of Tomato Clown
- Scopas and Yellow Tang
- Snowflake Eel
- Volitan Lionfish

This whole stocking list would take place within a span of possibly 6 months or so, just so my fish has some time to grow before the Volitan goes in there and tries to swallow them all.

Still considering a Polka Dot Grouper, but I think that's very unlikely.
How's the list thus far? I haven't read much about triggers, and don't know how well they would go with my listed fish, but I would like to have one because they look ugly, but ugly is the new beautiful....so yeah.

as you stated the damsels and clown are doomed to be the lions dinner,

a trigger might pick on the lions fins,

i would get the lion as small as possible

Lose the trigger and get a dwarf lion instead of the volitan. It can work ok but a full grown volitan is 16 or so inches across and in length or even bigger if your lucky/unlucky depending on how you wanna look at it. A 2' wide tank doesnt give them much room especially once you have rock in there.

Thanks guys for your comments?

How long does it take a volitan to reach full adult size? i've done many readings on them but can't seem to recall any of them saying the time it takes under normal feeding and water conditions for a volitan to reach 16inchs.
