The last fish on my 125G stocking list was a Red Spot Gold Severum. My favorite LFS came through again. They had a 5" all alone in a tank. As I do for all fish purchases, I spent some time observing him. He was not active when I watched him from a distance. However, when I came up to the tank, he would get very excited. Not the usual "feed me" excitement, but he seemed to be happy to see someone.

When I put him in the quarantine tank, he resumed the same pattern; i.e., little activity (like he was bored) until I came to the front of the tank.

Two weeks later, he is in his new home. All I can say is he seems to be very happy swimming with his tank mates. In fact, he is constantly moving; checking out his mates and every nook and cranny of the tank. No aggression problems (to my surprise) with any of the fish. The best part, is that he always comes over to me when I approach the tank.

Times like this makes me feel good about this hobby.

First picture is him in the quarantine tank.
