Just picked up a new baby RTC and an emperor ID shark today...they're both about 1.5 inches. The emperor's a blurb bc he's always running around.

ooooo thats one skinny RTC .... btw try starting him off with dead food wen hes young...it will save u a lot of trouble in the future bro. no doubt hes gona bulk up in a week or so :p man RTCs are soooooooooooo popular nowadays man...the craze is aliveee...where do u plan on keeping him later?

RTC's when young (under 12") need places to hide to be happy. and they don't really care for bare bottom tanks. Make sure you feed the little guy after the lights are out and be ready to move him/her a LOT sooner than your assuming. Our RTC needed a 240 gallon tank by the end of her first year....The baby MRTC looks to be on the same schedule.

Looks like he has fin and tail rot .GET those feeders outa there!!! Use market shrimp silversides , krill , beef heart, SOO much cheaper and no risk of infecting the fish with a parasite. My little rtc was at my lfs on chost shrimp and I brought him home waited 2 days and he ate a chunk of shrimp with no prob. Now when I do my routine with feeding he is like a little excited puppy begging for food.

Treat the fin and tail rot by raising the temp to the 78-80 degreese and put some aquarium salt in their ( read and follow directions on package ) and be ready to do 25% water changes every week at the least. You should be well on your wat to a happy and healthy rtc!! You can reserch other info on this web site for your little beastie.

I agree with fin and tail rot. It's got it and it can kill a cat this size quick. For a small one I would feed blood worms. Mine had fin and tail rot when I bought it and it took about 2 weeks of daily %25 water changes, and feeding bloodworms from a medicine dropper, but it worked.
