Hi,
I recently acquired a 2 year old 15" RTG aro.
Previous owner was feeding him shrimp and hikari sticks.
He's currently housed with a ray, couple of loaches and a pink tail chalceus. I've kept the tank lights off ever since bringing him home, and it's been about 4 days. The tank is in the living room so the only light he gets is from the TV and living room light which doesn't shine too much on the tank.
I've tried dropping in some peeled raw shrimps and hikari sticks with no luck. When approaching the tank, he comes up and presses against the glass, showing interest until I drop the food in then he'll swim away. Been monitoring him the last 4 days, and he doesn't look stressed and is not skittish.
is this something to worry about or I should just give him a couple of weeks to adjust to his new environment?
tank parameters:
Ph: 7.0
Nitrate: 20ppm
Nitrite: 0
Ammonia: 0
Thanks!
