Leave them alone or raise the pH to 8.3 and the alkalinity to over 180. When you raise one, you will raise the other. They are related in that sodium carbonate raises the pH and sodium bicarbonate raises the alkalinity (simply put).

Fact is:
Sodium Carbonate raises the pH a lot and raises the alkalinity moderately.
Sodium Bicarbonate raises the alkalinity a lot and raises the pH moderately.

Calcium Chloride will raise the calcium content. However, do not use Calcium Hypochloride. They are not the same and the latter will kill everything in the tank (it is used to shock swimming pools).

Always dissolve chemicals in water outside of the aquarium. At the moment, I don't have any dosing info. I am in the process of cracking the saltwater code and will post a formula when I think I have it.

Umm...never add Calcium Chloride to tank water, the pH is too high. If the pH or alkalinity are too high, the calcium will precipatate out. Mix it in de-ionized water and slowly add it to the tank.

Also, never mix the Calcium Chloride and the Sodium Carbonate or Sodium Bicarbonate together. The result will be a tank so milky that you won't be able to see your fish's eyeballs if its nose were up against the glass.

if your looking for more advice I would post in the Marine section as although this is a general aquaria discussion it is mainly freshwater people here. If you just scroll down further on the forum list you will see marine. They should have all the information you need.
