i havent had a saltwater tank in about ten years, but im experienced fish keeper.my question is what is a good set up for a small saltwater setup?
ive looked at the eclipse systems,a 30 and a 37 gallon, comes with lights and filters, will this work well or shoul i look a different direction?any help would be great thanks in advance.

Get either a NANO CUBE,or an AQUAPOD. Everything you need is built right into the system. I personally do not like MARINELAND.

go larger

at least a 55

the bigger the saltwater tank the easier it is to maintain

with smaller tanks the margin for error is much small

and a 55 is ideal for a hobbyiest returning back to saltwater

I would say it depends on your experience level. In the marineland products you will have to cut the hood for a protien skimmer. Aquapod does have a 24 gallon with multiple lighting options for the reef tank standard. Marineland you will have to buy a light uprade for about another 100 bucks. Smaller tanks don't usually allow harder to keep species, but most mushrooms and zoanathids will do good in it. Plus it is cheaper to do water changes more frequently keeping quality higher. But again, this depends on your experience/willingness to do daily observations, top off, and try to keep the temp stable. usually you will not need a heater unless you get alot of heat out of it. On average my 29 gallon would change about 4 degrees a day, so I went with a 75 instead.
