new sand for rbps!

alright so i went to home depot and picked up 50pound bag of playsand. safe for rbp?
i have gravel in the tank right now and how would i change from gravel to sand with fish still in the tank.

Yes, it is safe for the fish.

It is completely safe, but I would like to remind you (if you didn't know already) to rinse it thoroughly, as play sand will usually make your water extremely dirty if it isn't properly rinsed first. I am told that pool filter sand is more clean if you wish to avoid the rinsing process, at least to some degree.

Just be careful it doesnt get caught in the filter!
