New Sand, Help

I just got a bunch of estes sand and now I want to take out the gravel and add sand what should I do with the sand fist?

Clean it and just to be safe, boil it.

You don't need to boil it (unless you got it off of a beach or something).

Put some in a bucket, and put a hose in the bucket. Turn the hose on and run the water until the water is clear. Even with this method, don't be suprised if your tank water becomes cloudy after you put the sand in. It's no big deal and will clear up in 1-2 days.

yeah no need to boil if not from a beach or public area. I use a big rubber maid tub and raised with hot wtaer for a 30min. Gently scrub the sand and eventually you will get all the dirty and mirco particles out.
