What do you think?

This is a black bare bottom tank, i got tired of it and the motoro has scratched up the bottom so bad, i decided to do something different. I went with Estes Color quartz White (t) grade.

It still has not settled completly and the tank is a bit cloudy. But after 1 night the sand is all pushed to the middle of the tank... ha ha.

looks like pretty big grains... does it stay on the bottom good?

It is exactly the same as the 3M stuff. I have black t grade 3m in the tank with the flower. So grain size is sweet! But not sure how I am liking it. It is like the light glares off of the white cause it is bright.
For smaller rays like 10" it seems to stay on the bottom, but my big girl kicked it up real bad.
It is not spread out evenly like I would like. They moved it to the center of the tank.

I dig it!!!

My rays are relentless with sand "centering".

Only way I could keep it from piling up in the middle is random peices of driftwood. Big river rocks help too, UNTIL they figure out how to use the river rocks against you by clanging them on the bottom of the tank like an inmate with his tin cup on the bars.

your is pretty white too..right?
Maybe i will like it better when it settles more. still a bit cloudy.

I CAN't do the river rock in this tank. it is in my bedroom and they are loud enough splashing around and now blowing thru this sand....lol
If they dont shut up soon, i will have to move this tank to the garage. :)

I may try some driftwood, but i bet they can be loud with it too.
