A lot has happened since easter for me. I lost my beloved african aro due to him swallowing something. I wasnt sure what it was, so I drained my tank just in case it was something leaching chemicals. This sent my 180 into a mini cycle. A month later its clear and all the bichirs are back to their old ways. This will be my last update as a African biotope. Im keeping my bichirs, but the other stock will soon be sold. Definitely putting in a black arowana when he has grown a bit more. Then maybe a dat. Who knows. It feels great not having to pick from a certain selection of fish anymore.

The scape looks good but a bit too busy for my taste. I prefer manzanita bramches.
 
really cool setup, looks great bud,,, getting fed up of my tiles now, longing to clog my fx5's with sand again!-)

I haven't decided yet. I think the afer would harass a small black aro to death. When I put the black aro in the 180 I'm going to swap out the afer and put him in a 75. Introduce the afer when the aro is settled.

Definitely the most interesting knife I've kept. I miss my RCK though, and I think it will be a better fit for a community predator tank.
