hey guys

this is my first ever post in the photo lounge :D

To start off i will tell you the specs of the tank, and what lives inside

Specs & equipment
- 48 x 24 x 18
- running external aqua one canister filter
- 300W heater

Decor
- miscellaneous driftwood from lfs
- river sand from lfs
- 3mm gravel from lfs
- larger pebbles from landscaping supply store

flora & fauna
- potted crypt (plant)
- cryptoheros cutteri x 2
- convict cichlid x 1
- pearsei x 1 (im thinking of selling this guy, he is getting too boisterous)
- black shark x 1 (i will see how he goes, i think i will need to sell him soon)

please bear in mind you will not be able to see all of the inhabitants, and they are still a little stressed from the big move around.
so first off you may be thinking...

why the hell has he suspended that big piece of driftwood?

well its really quite simple, i did it to eliminate dead spots in my tank, and bearing in mind that it was a trap for debris i knew i needed change, so i took to it with two suction cups, and two nails and wollah! it is suspended above the floor of the tank, and there is two smaller pieces put together on the floor for some territory space.

also im sorry for the cloudy tank, just scaped it again, i will upload another better quality picture when it has settled.

thanks guys

Looks really good homie! Maybe some Large to medium rocks along the back of the tank to complement the dw would be nice as well.

Interesting idea... so you basically nailed the suction cups to the driftwood and then stuck it to your back panel? i wonder if it will hold in the long run, or if it will lose suction after X amount of time...

Either way, it will be interesting to see what it looks like once its all cleared up...
