New scomb

What do you guys think of my new scomb? Hes pushing 10", going to put him in a 155 gallon bowfront with a couple peacock bass and a catfish.

:thumbup: That's a good looking scomb! Score! Plump little assassin. Im endlessly searching for all the items I want to set up a 300 just for mine. Scombs are my favorite!

He was in a 15 gallon with 3 others :( rescued him just in time. His other eye is cloudy and hes a bit stunted.

He's probably recently wild caught. Payaras don't ship well and large ones ship even worse. Most big wild caught payaras seem to come in looking REALLY rough. When I bought my old scomb, he came in REALLY rough; both eyes were cloudy, all of his fins were rotted off and he was really weak. Once I got him in clean water with a steady diet, he recovered amazingly quickly. To be honest though, one of his eyes was so cloudy it never fully recovered.

I suspect yours will heal up fairly well, too. :)
