What do you guys think of my new scomb? Hes pushing 10", going to put him in a 155 gallon bowfront with a couple peacock bass and a catfish.

Got him from Shark Aquarium. First row left side all the way on the back...labedled saber tooth tetra.
Boy that is one seriously stout scomb! I hope to watch him keep growing!

He was in a 15 gallon with 3 others
rescued him just in time. His other eye is cloudy and hes a bit stunted.He was in a 15 gallon with 3 others
He's probably recently wild caught. Payaras don't ship well and large ones ship even worse. Most big wild caught payaras seem to come in looking REALLY rough. When I bought my old scomb, he came in REALLY rough; both eyes were cloudy, all of his fins were rotted off and he was really weak. Once I got him in clean water with a steady diet, he recovered amazingly quickly. To be honest though, one of his eyes was so cloudy it never fully recovered.
I suspect yours will heal up fairly well, too.
