Got myself a pair of sens last weekend and here they are!

The second one was labeled as an albino but it got me wondering as it didn't have the typical red eyes for an albino. Doesn't really fit the platinum description if it is one, maybe a lighter colored sen?

So what do you guys think?

Looks like an albino sen with the typical yellowish white coloring

A closer look at the eyes to see they're black

Def. a hybrid or something, but not sure. They need fattening up though! ;)

looks like a WTT senegal. Try to plaece it in a tank and see if it darken after a few days

Thanks guys.

@mike_sema the err normal sen is 11" while the mystery white sen is 10"

@Racersk they sure do. Don't worry, I treat my minions right and in due time they'll bulk up. I give my bichirs a healthy diet of feeder fish, lizards, insects, beef heart, chicken intestines and gizzards.

@Spiritofthesoul that's what I'm suspecting but we'll see. The two sens were in the same tank with black gravel for 2 weeks as what the guy there told me. My tank has the same colored gravel and so far the white sen is still white. I'll update in a couple of days or weeks!

Congrats on the pick-ups! The mystery sen is awesome

Not to hijack with a dumb question, but can you explain "WTT" to me? I haven't heard that one before.

Where do you get the "Def. a hybrid" from?

To me they both look like regular Sens.
Some are brown, some grey, some very pale.

I have had almost white regular sens before that changed tone a few times.

WTT stands for White tank treatment. Commonly done with arowanas. As you know, fish instinctively blend into their surrounding for survival.
People place those fishes in tanks with white oyama pasted on all 3 sides of the tank (some even the bottom). The fish would try to match the surrounding. You end up with a very washed-out fish which looks like a platinum.
