Just recently set up this tank, (48x15.5x16.5") and really love it! But it's in need of some easy to maintain plants. I'm just looking for one or two species, one to fill in the back, and one species to be low growing for the front of the tank. I want simple easy to get plants, what do you guys think I should add? I have moderate-high lighting for plants. Any input, comments or ideas welcome! Thanks!

Maybe go jungle val in the back. I'd use a type of moss like java moss tied to rocks for carpet. It's pretty easy to grow in low light. A couple anubias and java ferns on the driftwood might look cool too.

Can you give us more details about your tank? Like how many gallons, type of lighting (for instance Odyssea T5HO freshwater quad 4x54w), what you're using for substrate, what is your plan for Co2, etc.... This way it'll give us a more detailed understanding, and then we can suggest plants based on lighting, substrate, ect...

You could try some easy growing stem plant such as ludwigia or Cabomba. Really fast growing bushy plants, as long as you prune regularly.

I could see them growing behind the wood you have there :D

My Wisteria grown fast in my little tank, and is spreading and easy to grow with no CO2 and (probably) low lighting. Makes a nice tall background plant and my fish like it, just needs trimmed every couple of weeks.
