alright .. first thread for this didn't quite work. getting rid of my oscars etc.

Have an open 50 gallon and 10 gallon posssibly to re-stock.

Don't want just one fish .. been there done that. might stickk a few tiger barbs in the 10 gallon. its the 50 gallon i'm more worried about.

Give me opinions on what I should stock. something relatively active. not boring. that has a bit predatorial eating habits. and possibly eat live fish if need be.

Post your ideas and why those fish. these aren't restrictions. just possibly guidelines if you want to use them. my ideal set up is 3x dwarf snakeheads but having trouble finding them.

Ideally you want to try not to feed live food due to the risk of disease entering the tank. Why not go for a community setup with a couple of plecs which can be territorial.

Again, your options on a 50 gallon are superbly limited. you could get away with some smaller cichlids or some Senegal Bichirs.

i read your opinion in the other post. thanks buy seeing what else is out there .. anyone else with opinions?

I think it is best to put the tiger barbs in the 50 gallon. 10 tiger barbs with plenty of loaches (zebra, yoyo, dwarf chain, skunk, or sumo). That will be a fun and tank to watch since they are all very active. Although they might lack the predatorial eating habits, it will still be fun to watch if you feed them live black worms. The set up will also make a very nice Asia biotope. For the ten gallon you can try a pair of dwarf SA cichlid with a couple tetra.

this sounds interesting. I would prefer fewer things that all get a bit bigger then your talking but still not a bad idea. keeping something like this in mind also though. thanks for the opinion. I also don't mind something that gets a bit too big for a 50 cause if need be when it grows out it can go in my friends bigger tank.
