well i had to buy a aqua clear filter and peat to drop the ph and soften my water till i can afford a R/O unit wich will hopefully be next month atleast the water discoloration can be blaimned on the driftwood

The driftwood colors the water but it really does do some work. Don't count on your filter to keep the water clear for a loooong time -weeks to many months. Water changes balance it though.
