:)ok guys i have 75 galon fresh set up. i was keeping pair of flowerhorn in there, i am gonna move them into my other tank,
and i have crashed corals and lot of coral rocks and lava rocks, tank has casnister filter m good heather, and i just got protein skimmer its hangs on back of the tank.
i am just thinking start with just fish not reef or live rocks
so do i have to have live rocks in my tank? alos wht else i need for this tank to run salt water ?
\also right now in the tank i have 3d foam back ground , do i have to remove it bc of saltwater ?
thx to all:)

Do not use crushed coral at all point avoid it. Lava rocks you can use as long as you have never medicated your tank with anything. If you ever have it would be a good idea to empty it completely. Clean the tank out with vinegar and water mix.
Live rock is needed as it contains beneficial bacteria that helps break down nitrates.
Background... well if you can use it in your other tank... Do so.
Canister filter... only if you are using it for water flow. You can put just filter floss in there just to catch any larger particles, but it is definately something you want to X out of a saltwater system. IT will become a nitrate factory which would be a big no no.

whatis it in the vial on your avatar??? what kind of fish is that? pretty small..
