I've just recently re-cleaned my tank and while moving my room around small parts of rust have got into the water of the tank ( the bits of rust are too small to net out ) and using a cup to get them out would take a fair bit of time, I was wondering, would the filter suck the bits into the media and then this be the end of my problem? I've taped over the rusted panel ( its just a panel holding the plastic sheet in the lid ).
