New setup advice please!

Hi guys little advice needed on Cichla setup!

1) do you guys use R/0 water or mix of Tap and R/O ?

2) p/h and whots your Hardness of water! Do you know whot your PPM The salt/minerals in water!

3) Does your tank have alot of water movement? iv got a Jaboa wave controler pump that really moves the water! Is 20.000lph to much turnover?

Thats horrible for your fish unless your adding all the minerals etc back. I use straight tap water for my bass.

Ph needs to be stable.

No RO! To much work to get the ph, and the lack of good minerals is no good too.

Iv mixed my water 50/50 R/O and Tap water becouse wonted a little lower PH around 6.5 and softer water! My tap water is 7.5

thinking people use R/O becouse there tap water is to high or to much nitrates!

It's better to establish a bass in tap water then to jump through hoop to get RO water just right after a water massive water change. But, if you are dripping with RO water, then that's fine if you plan on keeping the bass forever.
