New Setup - Comments and Ideas Please

Hi,

Just moved house, had to sell my 6x2x2, and the only thing I have room for is a 3x18x18.


Water is cloudy because it was setup 2 hours before I tool the pics!!

My setup is as follows (I know this is total overkill for a 200L tank!):

1 x Eheim 2262
1 x 40x UV Sterilizer
2 x Eheim Jager 200w
1 x Thermal Control System
2 x 3" CREE Led Arrays






My Canister is loaded with:

Bottom: 4L Eheim Mech Pro
Middle: 2 x 1.5Cm thick medium blue filter pads
Top: 10-11L Marine Pure 1.5" Spheres

The tank is going to be used for American Cichlids, a Feather Fin and A Gold Spot.

I will be upgrading the tank in about 6 months to hopefully a 4x2x2 so comments on the tank size are irrelevant.


Have I missed anything? Carbon, Purigen Reactor?

No, I think it ok. Just give it some time to cycle.

I would keep the UV off till the tank is cycled.

thanks for that, i actually have another eheim 2262 just sitting around until i have the space to get another 6x2x2!!

as a side note, does anyone have an idea about Macropore, should i put in a fluidized macropore post filter, or should I just stuff the bag into the top of my canister?
