Starting a 29 gallon Hex with black sand substrate. Lighting is an 18" hood with 2 65 watt flourescent "screw in type" bulbs. These are the plants I had in mind for it.
2 Water Sprite
2 - 3 Java Fern
3 java moss attached to charcoal bamboo
1 variegated wisteria
Everything about 5" tall to start
I'm looking for hiding spots for red cherry shrimp along with fairly easy to care for plants, being that I'm still kinda new. Anyone see anything to add that would be nice or benificial or even anything to replace? Could I use more plants for a tank this size or is this a good start? I can also add or subtract to those 65 watts with different bulbs easily enough if needed. In 3-4 months I may add 3-4 angels depending on how well the shrimp can hide.
