Its been awhile since I've posted anything but its time. I just picked up a awesome 300 gallon shark tank its 87x46x18.5 I know I know it's no black tip reef shark tank but hell its a start for for the price i paid for it as a complete setup. Right now it has a nurse shark in it I know I can't keep her forever but I couldn't stand seeing her at 18 inches in a 70 gallon tank so I rescued her. I'm hopping to put a couple smooth hounds and a few cortez rays in it and be done. Will post pics tomorrow really tired cause I just got done mounting the light for it tonight. I have some pics on my phone if you wanna see it and can't wait pm me and I can text you the pics.

Based on the dimensions of this tank - you won't be able to kept the nurse in it for long - maybe 6 months.

As For keeping sharks or rays in. The Smoothhounds - Absolutely Not - they are too active, and grow to big for this tank. The Cortez ray - would be a good choice.

Yes I do know about the nurse but I figured my tank was better than the 70gallon the lfs had her in. As far as smooth hounds I do know they get to big for the tank in the long run but this is just a simple setup I got for a steal while I build my 2000 gallon pond.
