Hello, I just purchased a 1.5 inch shorty body/ bonsai FH, still pretty shy but hoping he or she turns out to be a stunner, I see a little hump starting so I’m thinking male

Doesn't looks shortbody. Looks more like a runt regular flowerhorn.
Glad you said it first ?. I was thinking the same doesn't look very shortbody/bonsai to me. Could turn out to be a very attractive fish though.
Didn’t pay too much, I agree forsure not a bonsai, in person the fh definitely has a slight shorter body, I’ve raised plenty of small Flowerhorns this one definitely has something different to the body, I’ll keep you guys posted with pics, still not the most photogenic hides a lot lol

Hello l, thought I’d give you guys an update, definitely a short body lol I got some new pics maybe 2.5 inches now and abit beefier, sorry for the bad pics in advance got some algae to clean lol
The glow up on this one is real. I’ll be honest he seemed like a much uglier fish but not anymore. What a beauty he is becoming.
