What i've done is that i put a little new silicone over the old silicone and now i know that i shouldn't do that. Can someone tell me why ?
The old silicone didn't have any leaks so it would stay that way even after i put the new one over it right ?
What should i do now ?

Since you have already done that just leave it alone.... It is only helpful if you have touched the two glass surface on either side, or else it's not effective.... When I started DIYing tanks I always used to apply 3 coats of silicone with interval of 3hrs... Although I don't anymore... The tanks are fine still after 8 months or so. I hope it remains the same...

New silicone doesnt stick very good to old silicone. If it wasn't leaking why even put new silicone on?
